Built in 1889 by the lumber baron Robert L. McCormick, the building that now houses the Angry Minnow is a historic, brick building that originally housed the offices of the Northern Wisconsin Lumber Company. The inviting interior is a mixture of exposed brick, archways, high ceilings and wood including hand carved tap handles. Windows in dining room provide a bird's eye view of the basement brew house.
The Angry Minnow is proud to have an eclectic, "Up North" menu. Each week the Minnow offers a Friday night fish-fry with fresh Lake Superior Whitefish.
Along with our fresh local fish, our chef has created the menu to reflect his own personal love of Wisconsin. Many of the entrees include local and regional ingredients.
Some of our best sellers include our Burgers and Angry Pretzels which are made with spent grain from the brewery.
Oh Yes: Our Beers!

From the popular River Pig Pale Ale, to Oaky's Oatmeal Stout, and the delicious Tre Svends IPA now on tap! And if you're not beer savvy, there is a full liquor bar and wine menu.
We hope you will find the atmosphere as rich and soothing as the beer.
